Respond with intention

Recognize. Archive. Seek help.

Our R.A.S. framework offers a calm starting point when content feels suspicious, manipulated or harmful. It is designed to move someone from panic into evidence, reporting and support.

01

R , Recognize and report to the right pathway

Pause before reacting or resharing. Check the source, look for inconsistencies and consider whether the content is designed to provoke urgency, fear or shame. For fraud, impersonation or cybercrime, use the RCMP/Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre reporting portal. For non-consensual intimate images, Cybertip.ca and platform reporting tools are key Canadian pathways.

02

A , Archive without amplifying harm

Create an evidence folder named by date. Capture the full screen so the URL, handle, date and time are visible. Save message links, account profile URLs, transaction records, headers, original files and a short timeline of what happened. Do not forward, repost or repeatedly download intimate material.

03

S , Seek help

Immediate danger requires 911 or local police. Youth intimate-image support can start with NeedHelpNow.ca. Privacy concerns can be reviewed through the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Emotional and community support can begin with 211 Canada or Kids Help Phone.

04

Verification tools

Reverse-image search and contextual verification can help trace where an image appeared. Tools are indicators, not perfect proof, and should be combined with source checks and human judgment.
