We help women and young people understand deepfakes, misinformation, non-consensual imagery and other emerging online harms, then connect them with practical response and reporting pathways.
Building solutions for women: online & offline
Our purpose
ShieldHer AI is a Canadian educational initiative advancing digital safety, AI literacy and informed participation through practical resources, evidence-based research and community action.
We help women and young people understand deepfakes, misinformation, non-consensual imagery and other emerging online harms, then connect them with practical response and reporting pathways.
We make AI understandable and useful, showing how it can support learning, creativity, entrepreneurship and productivity without abandoning critical thinking or human judgment.
Founded by Christina Jones after experiencing an online account compromise, the initiative turns a personal lesson into accessible public education. Our programs welcome everyone while keeping women’s distinct experiences at the centre of the conversation.
