Cover story

A safer digital future begins with evidence, not fear.

ShieldHer AI helps people understand emerging risks while building the confidence to use AI responsibly.

Artificial intelligence is no longer only a tool people choose to use. It is becoming part of the systems that shape hiring, education, public information, creativity, identity and safety. The benefits and risks of this technology are not experienced equally. Women and girls face distinct challenges including deepfakes, image-based abuse, online exploitation, algorithmic bias and unequal access to emerging opportunities.

Our work combines safety and empowerment because protection alone is not enough. ShieldHer AI helps people recognize online harms, verify manipulated media, understand their rights and access trusted support. At the same time, we show how AI can strengthen creativity, productivity, entrepreneurship and participation in the future of work.
